Take all OOC disputes to the OOC Oubliette!
Exactly as it says. Before the OOC Oubliette was created, a lot of fights happened on the RPG boards and it caused a lot of confusion. Even players have left because of this.

We are now very strict about this. The OOC Oubliette was created for this exact reason. If for some reason a fight should happen on the RPG boards, you will get a warning to take it to the OOC Oubliette. If after one, or several, warnings goes by and you still haven't done so, we will be forced to ban you and the other party you're arguing with. Unfortunately, players have been banned before. We've gone through this so much so we do not want to go through it again.

Here's the direct link: OOC Oubliette.

I don't want to give the impression that the OOC Oubliette is only for arguing. It is also place for players to relax, chat, and have a wonderful time.

No autoing.
There is absolutely no autoing another character. What Autoing means is when you state the action of another character that is played by a different player. Do NOT state another character's actions unless that character is a NPC (Non played character) character, or if it is YOUR own character.

If the other player is not there, You will have to wait until they come back and post on the club board before you can state another action. We do, however, understand that at times that there are players who do give you permission to move their character if they had to leave in a hurry. This is allowed and acceptable but please do NOT abuse that priviledge.

Any breaking of this rule is not tolerated. We do not wish for fights IC or OOC because you have autoed another person's character. We have an OOC (Out of Character) board for arguments over such things. Click the link below.

OOC Oubliette

Please give Players time to reply. We aren't here all at the same time, nor are all of us here to play all day long. Sometimes we have to leave and can't tell you. Still, you must wait for them to post before you can continue on. You do have the option of walking off and doing something else. Take your time posting, this is not chat. You have time to be creative and lengthy in your posts. Be descriptive. Tell us what your character looks like today, What color their tunic and pants are, We don't mind. We do enjoy the creativity and imagination you are putting into your posts.

Use of PK is not allowed.
PK means "Player Knowledge". For example, You see by my previous post that my name is "Mistress_Nissandra". Since you, the player, know this, It doesn't mean your character knows my name. We haven't been introduced yet. Also you, the player, read my stats and my profile on my character and know I'm a mother and mage and what have you. But, Still, your character doesn't have a clue as to what my character is capable of. Don't presume they already know. That is an example of PK and no one likes it. Your character, just like you in real life, has to "get to know us" and learn what we are all about. The profiles are there so that if you are a human and intend to fight another character, you can look them up and determine if you really wanna mess with that vampiric being. They are not so that you can go through and "know" everything about us.

Another example of PK. Suppose my character is deaf, Your character doesn't all of a sudden learn sign language. Try "learning" it in character. Also, I have noticed that many suddenly know elven. Wrong. Elven is a very complex language that is not often taught to other races. It can be learned, but if your character tried to speak it, it would be fumbled, choppy, and wouldn't sound as fluent as say an elf maiden speaking in it. Don't presume to know all languages. Bring a bit of fun with you and learn!

The language spoken in the Fantasy Gathering clubs/Realms is called "Common", and it is a language of our own making. It does not mean English. You are welcome to not know that and attempt to learn it. This is the language that flows amongst the races here, even the elves have picked that up and can use that to communicate here.

God Moding will not be tolerated.
God Moding is one of the biggest complaints at Fantasy Gathering. An example of God Moding is if your character breathes, bleeds, or walks on this plane called "Fantasy", It can and might die. Don't presume it can't or you may find half the characters out to do yours in.

We try very hard not to kill others but it does happen. Be aware of this. Your character CAN die here. This IS the Mortal plane. If you are playing a God or Goddess, Take them back to the God plane. We really don't want to play with them nor do we feel your God or Goddess would bless us with their presence and take the chance of dying here.

We all play by our own Gods and Goddesses. Yours are not the only in existance so don't come to the conclusion that your Gods can have a huge bearing on our characters. If I am playing an Angelic being, It does not mean that your God has any control over my angel and I will or would call you on this. Many would.

No immediate resurrections.
Resurrections must wait a full 7 days (Yes, a week in real life!). No exceptions. If you have a character that can resurrect itself, That’s fine and good but you still have to wait 7 days. If it’s part of your role play that has to deal with the character coming back to life after dying as part of the story, It is strongly suggested that it be adjusted. No resurrections without waiting the full 7 days.

No Rape!
We do not allow players to go around using their characters to rape other characters. As much as I hate to admit this, There are players who take this personally and will be offended. Yes, It is a game, but forcing rape onto other characters will brand you as a NEWBIE and many players rarely will give you a second chance to play after you have seriously offended them. We have many young players in our clubs. Don't traumatize them.

The *only* time that we will EVER allow rape to happen during plays is if there has been an agreement between two players on the side. We do allow conspiracy plots so as long as both players have DISCUSSED this situation about rape happening between the characters and allowing it. We have no problem if this happens but we just ask that this plot does not happen often because there are still other players who will get offended wether or not this has been approved between the two consenting players.

We do not, will not, can not allow rape to be played out in detail on the boards. Either do this in chat somewhere else or just state, "The rape happened". However, if you feel it's a MUST to play out the rape, Head to an adult RP area such as Fate's Way Brothel. That is one of the official locations of Fantasy Gathering but we don't promote it. We understand that sometimes adult-type of situations must happen in order for RPs to be exciting.

No mass killing.
No "all in the room" or "realm kills". This is a big no-no! For one, All players are not here at the same time and no one can attempt to move their characters. Your hits must be directed to one character or a very few within a room. If you attempt to "blow up" my tavern or my castle, It will be invalid. That is a "room kill" or "realm kill" and is NOT allowed.

Must my club follow these guidelines too?
If you have started your club in the Fantasy Gathering category at Yahoo!, It does not have to follow these guidelines that we set up for all FG clubs. We are, after all, not BORG. You can disregard it and set up your own rules if you wish. If you do want to follow these guidelines, All you have to do is provide the link to new players and they can come here to learn more.
