Telepathy.

Telepathy- Supposed communication between minds by means other than the normal sensory channels.

If you use this "Ability", use it wisely. This is NOT a power, this is a natural born with ability. It is not learned by a mage, it is granted you. It can grow if you wish to work with it. Use your abilities wisely and don't try to tell us, the GM's, how you will use it. Telepathy means what it means and no making it into more or less than what they are. The above was taken right out of Webster's Dictionary and is the generally accepted use of them in all of our clubs.

I will stress this point. To use Telepathy, the other person you try to "read" cannot have standing mind walls. Telepathy cannot be used on everyone either. The Deaf. If the character was born deaf and was never taught the use of telepathy, telepathy would be meaningless and would presumably give them a headache. This also goes with any other creature or race that do not use such abilities. It would give them a headache bordering on a migraine. There are downfalls to using Telepathy. Your mind can be assaulted, and is open to an assault, if you should try this without a friendly greeting to the person. You could, in turn, get a mind blast that would render you brain dead if the other player was so careless.

Someone could very well "Chi blast" you as well, which could in turn kill your character. Beware whom you use this power on. It might be your worst nightmare.

Telepathy can be traced because it leaves a trail. Anyone that is a mage and possesses mage sight can follow the lingering trails of your telepathy. Closed telepathy or guarded is yet another matter. They can follow the trail but not anyone can hear it. It is a direct, very concentrated, link to the character you are talking to. Open telepathy can be heard by anyone with the ability.

Empathy.
Empathy- The ability to share in another's feelings and emotions.

Some characters carry both abilities. Some carry only one of those above. If you do not know how to play an empath, please don't bother. I've seen very few that can play them well. Please do not say you can feel other emotions from miles away. If you are in a tavern, you are too bombarded by other emotions in that central area to feel someone that is a mile away. If you want to play with that person, go to them. An empath will have their own downfalls such as being emotionally drained from too much emotion or feelings they pick up. They can easily be driven insane with emotions and feelings. Play carefully.

Psionics
Psionics is a more concentrated and very hard "power" to use. This is in no way an ability. Where a deaf person cannot understand telepathy, they may be able to understand but not use Psionics. Psionics actually trains the mind in a quick order and gives it the knowledge to understand what that person has said. It is a direct link to that person and no other can pick it up. It leaves less of a trail than Telepathy. The person using it should know how to use it and not pretend to know. You will get called long and hard on this one.

Psionics is NOT in the Webster's Dictionary and is a role-play power and term. Psionics can be built to greater levels unlike the above mentioned. It is within the players control as to how they build it. Please be creative with what you do, but please be fair. If I feel you have over inflated your character, I will say something about it if another player doesn't beat me to it. In semi-private RPG's I do not interfere unless asked. Many characters have been built over many years and I know most of them in these clubs and will only GM them if I'm asked to.

Telekinesis
Telekinesis-The causing of an object to move by unexplainable means, as by the mind.

Now don't get carried away, I'll only allow so much. There is no way I'll allow a slip of an elven woman to move a ship with her mind. Be creative, I'm sure there are more out there willing to use this "ability", however, this one is of the mind and must be built up to move greater objects. The mind can be trained.

Divine vs. Diabolical Abilities
I play many fallen divines. There is a lot of territory there and I'm not sure how to cover it. I will stress a very important fact here. Do not crossbreed a divine with a demonic character or you might get laughed off the board. It just isn't possible. The holy and the dark would war in the character to kill them and bam they are dead. So let's be real here, ok? A divine is a holy character. Even fallen divines possess holy powers. Not demonic, not dark, sorry it's unacceptable.

Angels and Demons do not breed. They can breed in ways that are unnatural but not by just having sex. Angels don't breed with a demon either. It isn't possible because the child would not live. Divines do not possess any dark powers such as "hellfire". It is not possible because "hellfire" burns a divine just like holy powers burns a demonic.

You cannot crossbreed a divine with a vampire or demon or any other such character. The child could not live.

Now on the other hand, you can cross them with humans, elves, and other such races. Those are possible for both angels and demons.

Also, if you are a Vampire and stupid enough to bite a divine, count your sorry bum dead. There is no way that a Vampire could sustain the amount of holy energy in a divine's blood and live. However, if it is a crossbreed, it may be possible depending on how much divine blood is in that character. There is only one Demonic character that could do all of the above and that would be Lucifer himself. He is the only holy divine that is supposedly dark, but keep in mind, is he really full of dark energy? I don't think so and many would argue that fact he supposedly is one of the most powerful divines to walk on the mortal plane and within Hell. Lucifer is not actually played here. He is NPCed from time to time but strictly in private play. Just like how Michael or any of the other biblical divines or demonics are played. Please do not try to play any of them on our clubs. It is a big no-no to us. We will not interact with you. You are welcomed to make up your own Gods and Goddesses, but I never suggest having them on any mortal realm or plane because they truly can and might die.

Natural abilities of a Divine:
Holy Fire
Holy Light
Halo (only applies to Seraphim Angels)
Soul Stone that they can feel emotion of any wearing it through usually given to their mate when they marry.
Divine Healing
Divine Intervention
Wings (Most but not all have wings that is up to each player, not all divines sport wings)

Natural abilities of Diabolicals/Demons:
Hellfire
Dark Energy balls
Dark healing
Raising the Dead (Not all can do this)
I can't say I know many of the demonic powers as well as others do there are so many demonic beings I won't list them all. If you have questions I can direct you to someone with the answers I hope.
